US Congressman Alhan Omar has called on Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he hoped that the relations between Pakistan and the American people would be further deepened and the dialogue between the Parliament and the US Congress would be strengthened.
Shahbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan values its long standing relationship with the United States and wants to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect, trust and equality, promoting peace, security and development in the region through constructive ties. The Prime Minister said that the United States is Pakistan’s largest trading partner. The Prime Minister called for enhancing cooperation in Pak-US trade and investment.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and said that joint efforts were needed at the global level to tackle Islamophobia.
